The Airport Authority is governed by a dedicated group of individuals.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Susan Margles has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority since January 2025. Before joining the Authority, Susan was a member of the senior leadership team at Canada Post for nearly 20 years. She held key roles, including Chief People and Safety Officer, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Vice President of Government Relations and Policy. In these positions, she played a pivotal role in strategy development and stakeholder relations as well as advancing safety, people and culture, labour relations, and government affairs. Susan also had a distinguished career in the federal government, where she held senior positions in several departments including Transport Canada, Industry Canada and the Department of Finance.
Known for her ability to address complex issues and foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, Susan has earned a reputation as a forward-thinking and results-driven leader.
Susan holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University as well as the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Their diverse backgrounds and extensive expertise ensure strong governance and strategic direction for the Authority. Collaborating closely with Senior Management, the Board plays a vital role in shaping the Airport’s future and its impact on Canada’s Capital Region.
