The Ottawa International Airport Authority is very pleased with today's announcement by the Honourable Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario, confirming more than $1 billion in funding, or one third of the cost of LRT Stage 2, as well as half of the cost of the airport rail link. 

"Ottawa needs a world class transportation system that will meet the needs of the community, local businesses and the tourism sector," said Mark Laroche, Airport Authority President and CEO. "Today's announcement confirms that the Province of Ontario appreciates and supports the need for rail access to the airport as part of a connected City".
