Plane pull 8 – Ready for take-off September 14th!

Published on September 13, 2013

OTTAWA – The Airport Authority is pleased to present Plane Pull Challenge 8 on Saturday, September 14, at the Ottawa Airport. The Plane Pull raises funds for charitable initiatives in Ottawa and Gatineau, and is a key fundraiser for Project Clear Skies, the Authority’s charitable giving program. Funds raised in the 2013 edition of the event will be shared equally between Project Clear Skies and the Sens Foundation.

The event will feature teams of 15 to 20 people who will pull an Air Canada Embraer E-190 aircraft a total of 12 feet. The team that pulls the 80,000 lb. aircraft the fastest wins!

Besides the pull itself, there are many things to see and do for the whole family, including: Spartacat, the Senators ambassador of fun, the Sens Street Tour inflatables (weather permitting), Shriners clowns, magic acts, face painting, local band Bacon Tree, BBQ lunch, demonstrations by the Airport Authority’s Canine Unit, and much more.
