Ottawa Airport Board nominates new members
Claude Bennett, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority is pleased to welcome two new members to the Board.
Peter Vice, Q.C., is a partner in the law firm of Vice & Hunter, who is very involved in the legal community as well as the local community, through fundraising and participation in various local charities.
James Wright is a Chartered Accountant with a financial consultancy practice and retail business in Ottawa. He is active in the community, and is a Director with the Royal Ottawa Health Care Foundation.
“The Board of Directors is looking forward to working with both Peter and Jim, particularly with the opening of the new passenger terminal building in October” said Bennett. He added, “I know these fine gentlemen will continue a tradition of active involvement”.

OMCIAA operates Ottawa International Airport without government subsidies under a 60-year lease transfer agreement with Transport Canada. The Authority’s mandate is to manage, operate and develop Airport facilities and lands in support of the economic growth of the National Capital Region. Its 40-year old terminal building was last expanded in 1987. Since that time, passenger traffic has increased, necessitating the Airport’s current expansion project.
